Welcome to my first message as Yorkshire Captain!
I started with the YLCGA as an Area Rep just as Covid started so the beginning was quite strange. I once sat on a competition desk to help out and was suddenly asked if I would be interested in Competitions! It was certainly an interesting, enjoyable and very rewarding area of the YLCGA that I have thoroughly enjoyed but nothing that has quite prepared me for being asked to be Captain!
During my four years, especially as Vice-Captain, I've had the pleasure of meeting many of you—sometimes more than once. Connecting with members is one of the most rewarding aspects of these roles, and I’m eager to meet even more of you at future events and hear about your experiences. Please do come and introduce yourselves, though I may not have a tee time or a scorecard handy to help me remember your name!
It would be lovely to see our competitions full and you don’t have to be an elite golfer to enter most of them, just come and enjoy being part of YLCGA. Of course if anyone thinks they have something to offer or suggestions about YLCGA moving forward then please contact me.
I will certainly try to do my best
Kind regards
Pam
