2026 County Card

2026 County Card Scheme

The Scheme

The Yorkshire County Card can be used at over 1,350 clubs across England, including many within the county itself, as the scheme is now nationwide and valid at all participating clubs.

The card can be used by both male and female members of Yorkshire Clubs that have joined the scheme.  Similar programs exist in many other Counties and have significantly helped affiliated Clubs by increasing visitor numbers and supporting member retention.

How does the scheme work?
1. The County Card is free, but only members of participating clubs  i.e. those that have agreed to accept card holders at a discounted green fee
2. After registering, Members will be able to download an electronic County Card through the Golf Genius App - Example shown on the left
3. Cards are valid for 12 months starting from April 1 each year and will be renewed annually as long as the club is part of the scheme and remains affiliated with YUGC/YLCGA.
4. Cards can be used once per club, are subject to host club rules, and are not valid for groups larger than four.
5. Tee times must be by prior arrangement with the host club.
6. Clubs can register by submitting a club Registration form, which only needs to be completed once and remains valid until cancelled. Click on the link at the bottom to access
7. Clubs can limit when and how many visitors are allowed, as well as set seasonal restrictions. However, they are required to provide County Card holders with a green fee discount that is cheaper than the standard rate for that date and time.

Clubs will have received detailed instructions to support their members who experience difficulties accessing or using the Golf Genius website when downloading an electronic County Card.

If you need a card before the launch of the new scheme [up to 31st March 2026], please contact the Yorkshire Union of Golf Clubs County Card Administrator.
